Tecan develops and manufactures electronics-based medical devices and life science instruments. Customers around the globe gain access to a deep bench of engineering and product development talent, as well as access to high-quality, cost-competitive manufacturing in North America and the APAC region. Our two world-class contract manufacturing facilities, strategically located in Northern California and Penang, each span roughly 150,000 square feet and are ISO 13485 certified.
Tecan has a strong customer-centric culture and a long track record of operating in highly regulated markets, focusing on mechatronic-intensive instruments that combine custom electronics, optics, robotics and/or microfluidics. Paramit® contract manufacturing benefits from Tecan’s vertically integrated capabilities including PCB assembly, test development, optics assembly and the innovative vPoke® computer directed mechanical assembly process. vPoke, designed for high integrity manufacturing and regulated markets, provides comprehensive device history records and full traceability for each and every product, ensuring consistent achievement of zero-defect goals.
Tecan’s extensive team of skilled engineers and technicians are fully equipped to assist customers during all stages of the new product introduction (NPI) process, including ideation, design, prototype development, late-stage reviews, manufacturing, and post-manufacturing services. Having transitioned dozens of instruments into manufacturing, we understand how to move quickly through NPI and prepare for manufacturing scale.
