Senior Hardware Engineer

Job description:

Provide technical leadership and customer interface for the PCBA, system and reliability test area of a contract manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities include:

·         Be able to root cause difficult electrical failures (including design issues) on a wide variety of complex technologies

·         Must be able to provide innovative solutions to issues found in the test area. Including solutions to issues in process, customer design or test setup.

·         Provide technical leadership to a team of technicians and test engineers that perform the day to day troubleshooting.

·         Develop creative, efficient test setups for a wide variety of technologies.

·         Drive customer quality improvement meetings for all test related issues

·         Be pro-active in approach to identifying and solving issues on the floor. Needs to be very self driven.

·         Work with multiple customer engineering teams to develop test solutions

Job requirements:

·         Candidate must have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)

·         Must have very strong electronics knowledge.

·         7 – 10 years of test engineering experience.

·         Some product design or test development experience required.

·         Must have strong leadership skills. Management experience is a plus.

·         Prior work at a contract manufacturer is a plus

·         Strong communications and interpersonal skills are essential

·         Test software development experience a plus

 

Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

·         Strong Mechanical Engineering background required with 2-3 years hands on experience.  Involvement with initial evaluation of new mechanical assembly projects.

·         Evaluate scope of work and complexity of build.  Evaluation of tooling requirements.

·         Involvement in new projects, to help develop process and techniques.

·         Working on conjunction with Product Engineering/ Program  Manager’s to resolve problems or feedbacks.

·         Develop and prepare manufacturing instructions.  Assist with training of assembly personnel.

·         Identification/resolution of weak points in the process.  Enhance product cycle times in the manufacturing process

 

Educational Requirements:

·         BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

 

PCB Designer

 

 Job Description:

 

Senior PCB design expert is a seasoned industry professional with over 7 years of experience and will be a key member of a PCB design team. This position is responsible for all aspects of PCB design, tool configuration and PCB vendor interface and will provide expert advice and guidance to more junior PCB layout personnel.  Preference will be given to a candidate who has a broad range of PCB experience, from RF to digital, and familiarity with multiple layout / schematic capture systems.

 

Job Requirements:

 

·         Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Orcad

·         Tool configuration and management, library databases, interface to variety of schematic capture packages

·         High-density placement and routing      

·         Autorouting expertise

·         Experience in RF / Mixed mode

·         Design rule implementation and automation

·         Knowledge of PCB manufacturing and DFM requirements and standards

·         Flex and rigid boards

·         Generation of Gerber files, reports and electronic PCB documentation for fabrication and assembly

 

 

SMT/Process Engineering Manager

 

Oversee the activities related to the technical support and process development engineering functions of a manufacturing area. Plan and implement the development of new and scale-up processes. Establishes operating equipment specifications and monitors equipment performance. Lead efforts to achieve cost effectiveness and improve product quality. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the SMT area.

 

 Job Description:

 

Manage all aspects of the surface mount manufacturing area in a contract manufacturing organization including the following:

 

·         Manage a group of 3 to 4 process engineers to meet efficiency targets

·         Manage a group of 3 to 4 maintenance technicians to meet uptime goals

·         Manage a group of approx. 30 SMT production and setup staff to meet scheduling requirements.

·         Focus entire SMT team to meet quality targets

 

Job Requirements:

 

·         Candidate must have a BS degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)

·         7 – 10 years of SMT engineering experience.

·         Must have strong leadership skills and management experience.

·         Prior work at Contract Manufacturer industry is a plus

·         Experience with CIM systems

 

 

Manufacturing Engineer

 

 Job Requirements:

 

·         Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, Bills of Material and related engineering documentation.

·         Understanding of printed circuit fabrication processes including: solder paste printing, placement, reflow profiling of thermal characteristics, automated inspection parameters, IPC 610 C&D acceptability requirements

·         Excellent written and verbal skills

·         Customer service knowledge and the ability to respond quickly to customer requests for information and data

·         Knowledge of wave solder, BGA placement and rework. Basic hand soldering knowledge is helpful.

·         Understanding of Engineering Change Orders and the extensive impact to all facets of production due to implementation of said ECO activity

·         Familiarity with databases, all MS Office applications and demonstrated proficiency with all s/w applications used for manufacturing

·         Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability, especially Valor

·         Experience with X-ray inspection techniques

·         Understanding of FMEA and related failure analysis techniques

·         Keen awareness of defect recognition/prevention and control

·         Knowledge of statistical analysis tools: SPC, DOE, C/E diagrams

·         Familiarity with Corrective and Preventive actions

·         Ability to create complex work flows and essential work instructions down to the operator-level

 

Educational Requirements:

 

·         Four-year degree or equivalent work experience in an engineering capacity. Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering degree preferred

Asset Manager

Job Requirements:

·         Analyze, Plan, Commit, Schedule and Post Kits

·         Manage purchase of parts from Customer

·         Work with PM for GAP Alignment

·         Provide customer with weekly excess approval request by COB Tuesday.

o    Spotlight report created Weekly Excess Resolution  Report

·         Close on excel approval with customer by COB Thursday.  Follow workflow approval process to close the issue.

·         Provide PM with ECO and SO Change weekly

Run ECO and SO Change report

Analyze to report to validate if changes are required

Create excess workflow (manually or (upload not yet created)) for excess items still confirmed valid from report

Provide information to PM if needed after SO and ECO info provided to customer

Follow-up with PM regarding customer’s input and plan

·         Analyze E&O

Validate Commodity Buyers completed cancellation and return component material when ever possible.

For top 80% by customer of obsolete material PAM to: Verify part cannot be used for any other demand within Paramit

·         Prepare E&O report including 100% part detail on 0 demand items.

·         Prepare E&O report including 100% part detail on excess with demand items. 

·         Provide customer with E&O report

Set up meeting with customer to review details

Publish an action list from meeting

Follow-up to closure on all actions

Follow-up with customer to obtain PO for OBS materials as committed

by customer in Excess Meeting.

·         Direct and coordinate logistics activities within Paramit for pull.

·         Coordinate with stock room for validation of pull qty’s

·         Submit list of part numbers and validated qty’s to Eng Services for excess sale BOM creation.

·         Coordinate Sales order entry for excess sale.

Test Engineer

·         Supports manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, reduction of intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment. 

·         Generates reports and analysis of test data, prepares documentation and recommendations.  

·         Reviews test data and RMA issues with customers regularly. Analyzes and interprets test data.

·         Provide training in new procedures to production testing staff.

·         Comply and follow all procedures within the company policy.

·         Participate and provide functional performance expertise to the team.  

·          Diagnose component malfunctions, isolate problems and recommend improvements. 

 

Job Experience Required:

·         Three to five years experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.

 

Educational Requirements:

·         Bachelors of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from four-year College or university preferred

 

 

Process Engineer:

Job Decription:

-     Establish and evaluate all PCBA manufacturing processes

-     Provide programming needs for PCBA manufacturing equipment

-     Improve operational methodologies

-                 Support manufacturing production/processes by:

·          Monitoring and improving PCBA process efficiencies

·          Monitoring and improving PCBA manufacturing quality

-          Provide technical leadership and training to production teams

Job Requirements:

BS in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience

Prefer experience running Siemens pick and place equipment
